The Vestal Town Board
proposed moratorium on solar arrays

Wednesday, September 15th, 6 p.m.

The Vestal Town Council has now proposed to implement a 6-month moratorium on solar array farms, and they have scheduled a public hearing for this on September 15. Due to the current ongoing pandemic situation, the town board continues to hold meetings in a virtual way, but we encourage all concerned town residents to participate in the virtual sessions, especially the one coming up on 9/15.

Vestal Residents for Safe Energy organization officially ends

On Monday, August 16, 2021, we, the core members of VeRSE, gathered at Arnold Park in Vestal to observe the official ending of our organization. We’d like to believe that we have won the fight against our home town getting fracked, though as Vestal residents, we will continue to advocate for increased use of renewable energy sources and a reasonable transition away from reliance on fossil fuels.
